| I went to LA last week from Thurs to Sun. The flight is pretty long (4.5 hrs) but going there isnt bad cause it actually only takes 1.5 hrs from the time change. Got to LAX and was so hungry. Danny and James picked me up and we were looking for a place to eat. We wound up eating at BCD Tofu House. First thing I thought of when I saw it was "wow so many asians!" haha. I had the Kimchi Tofu Soup and it didnt taste much different from atlanta's. After dinner we went back to change. We went to a club called Mood and met James' friends there. Paid $20 cover charge and went inside to not see much ppl there. We were early, so it got better. Went to buy a drink and then the second thing i noticed, $12 for a vodka redbull. Thats crazy!! We drank more and more and finally left the club to try to go to another one down the street. This one had a wait too, but they finally said they werent letting anymore ppl in. Went to another place to chill for a bit then headed home. I was hungry so we stopped by Jack In the Box and grabbed food hehe.
Woke up early in the morning (not sure why, either Jetlag or James' snoring). Tried to go back to sleep but couldn't (James' snoring). I think I only got like 4 hrs of sleep and I felt like crap. Waited for everyone to wake up and then we went to IHOP to eat breakfast. After IHOP we decided to take a tour of the city. We drove into Beverly Hills and looked a very nice houses. Then we bought a star map and tried to find some celebrity houses. The thing is u can find the house but u can really see anything there. We stopped by UCLA afterwards cause I had to pee. UCLA is so nice!! Damn wish I went there...how can they have such a nice campus in the middle of the city The longer the 3 of us stayed there, the longer we were regretting going to Tech lol. We finally left UCLA and went to Santa Monica beach. The beach is so nice here too. We walked around on the pier where they sell many cool things. On the way back from the beach, theres a street market there where we grabbed a snack and chilled. We left the beach and headed home and the third thing i noticed, it took us 1.5 hrs to get home. It was rush hour and we waited in traffic forever. Got back home and rested a lil bit then changed to go eat dinner. We went to a food court in the new outside mall next to Danny's house. They had brazillian meat (like Fogo de chau) by the lb. Good stuff and left me pretty full. After dinner we went to a college bar called Big Wangs, lol. It was ok, just like a normal bar with TV and a place to sit. Towards the end of the night I started feeling very tired from lack of sleep. So me and danny went to home to sleep. Meanwhile, james went to cliff's house and had lots of fun
Woke sat morning with no snoring and got good sleep Waited for james to wake up so we can eat Dim Sum. Went to Chinatown, which is like a whole separate city!! Dim Sum was eh, the same. Then went to the Honda dealership with cliff and check out the CR, so nice! Went back to cliff's place and then to Danny's to change and get some of Cali's finest. Then we went back to Cliff's to chill for a bit and go eat dinner. We went to little tokyo for some Ramen We went to a place downtown that specializes in Ramen and rice bowls. There wasnt any parking so we parked faaarr away and walked there. And then when we got there, there was a line out of the door so we waited almost an hr to eat. It seems like everyone concentrates around the good places.. I had a tskumein, which i saw on Naruto btw It was awesome!! They dont have much selection on their menu (just tskumein and ramen) but i can see why now. After dinner, we went to the J's lounge to meet up with Danny's friend. The lounge is pretty cool, it has a dance floor and chairs to sit down and a nice patio outside. After the club, we got a hotdog from the hotdog stand outside...apparently this is common, and good too. Went back home and had some more fun heh.
Had to sleep upstairs since James was snoring again...Woke up and get ready to leave for the airport At least we had time to go to In N Out burger. Again theyre menu didnt have much selection but damn the burger was good haha.
ALL IN ALL, the trip was amazing. LA was everything I expected it to be and then some! I still cant believe the weather, that it only rains a couple of days a year. I can see how ppl pay so much to live there...its like a dream, not reality. It seems like theres a shortage of eveything tho. Like crazy traffic everywhere u go, no where to park when u get there, and a long wait because everyone else wants to go there too. I would definitely have to get a motocyle if i lived here. Also, another weird thing is that last call is at 1:30. But yeah Ive learned alot from this trip and Im still considering living there. Just cant do it within the next year. We'll see...

| So Ive decided to start driving the Evo everyday now. I thought there was no point in having it sit in the garage all the time. Also I figure Id better drive it now before gas prices go even higher. So Im prepared to pay for worse gas mileage (20 mpg vs 34 mpg). And higher gas prices too (93 vs 87). But its worth it cause everytime I drive it, its a blast!
On another note, the EIT is coming up in Oct and Im gonna start studying. Weekday plan is to go to the gym after work, then go eat with friends, and go home and study.
Ive been going out alot and really enjoying it. Im trying to build up my social network and be more active. I feel alive and dont feel like Im wasting my life away.

| My week vacation is over My brother came to Atlanta from UF (gainsville, FL) Was good to see him, we went shopping and eating alot. I finally got to buy some things Ive been needing for a while like shoes and a belt. Definitely spent alot of money this week
We also had alot of deep conversations and that made me realize somethings... 1. Everyone has different priorities. Do what helps you out in the future. 2. Be more social. Find a group that will take me there. 3. Mod for bang for the buck. Otherwise its just a pissing match. 4. Eat more vegetables. Revise my diet. 5. Find a better workout. MMA Gym? | | |
